Established in 2011
Innosil Company was established in Poland in 2011 by Poznan Science and Technology Park. Innosil is a spin-of company dedicated to the commercialization inventions developed by scientists at PSTS. Since last year, its main focus is the development and commercialization of plants resistance inducer (ILagro product). Company is led by the key inventor of the ILAGRO product, Prof. Marcin Smiglak. Our Goal
We aim to develop innovative plant protection product (PPP) in form of plant resistance inducer, which activates natural plants defense mechanism allowing plants to become more resistant to infections by pathogens to improve crops cultivation with limited use of harmful pesticides. Plant resistance inducers are the most efficient and eco-friendly approach to increase crop efficiency in 21st century because they do not affect microorganisms and insects but they only stimulate the resistance in plants. Adoption of this technology will fulfill requirements of European Union (EU) directives in terms use of pesticides in crop production and will increase food safety. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) rules established by EU force crop producers to start using new PPPs and limit the use of common pesticides everywhere where it is possible. Subsequently new legal requirements have created business opportunity for ILAGRO which will become a crucial element of future methods of pest control.
